He was in the Army?

[edit]

I doubt it. The source cited for that claim is his IMDB page, which he obviously wrote himself. In the same article he claims to have met Pope John Paul II in 1979 and become a member of some Catholic secret society. The other source that talks about his Army service only says that Sharkey "claims" to have served. In my mind we should change the wording to "claims" to have served as well, because there is no neutral source showing that he did in fact serve, and frankly, I would be willing to bet that he did not. I'll change it in, say, 24 hours, if no one objects. Retserrof84 (talk) 18:52, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If we can't find a reliable source to back up the information in the article it should just come out of the article. Rewording it doesn't solve the problem. GB fan (talk) 19:19, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You're the boss, I'm new around here. But the second source is from a newspaper, which I guess is a reliable source, but it only mentions that Sharkey claims to have served in the Army. To be honest, if we're going to remove all of the things Sharkey "claims" to do or have done, we are going to be left with about two sentences. I'm sure you know better than I do, though. Retserrof84 (talk) 19:30, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am not the boss, I am a volunteer editor like you. That we should remove the imdb things since there are no reliable sources is just my opinion. If you or other editors feel the info still belongs I don't have a problem with it since none of it is contentious. GB fan (talk) 00:05, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings Retserrof84, If you want, email me off line at jonathontheimpaler@yahoo.com, not only will I send you a copy of my VA Award letter which shows that I am rated at 100% disabled, but, how much the VA is payng me. It also shows the injuries I suffered while serving this country. I was a member of St. Hedwig's Holy Name Society in Elizabeth, NJ. They are far from secret. By Jonathon The Impaler Sharkey. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ImpalerFilmsInc (talkcontribs) 23:12, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You providing the information to an editor is not sufficient. We need the information to come from a published independent reliable source. GB fan (talk) 23:43, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

GB Fans, considering my military records are a senative Level 7, usually 8, but, since I had surgery and pending VA Claim, they lowered it to a 7, I have copies of the official documents to prove I was in the Army and what I am Service-Connected for. Plus, how much I get. I emailed the info to info@wikipedia.org Hopefully they will update my page. If you want, email me, I'll send it to you. User:ImpalerFilmsInc —Preceding undated comment added 00:14, 7 May 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Like I said above, you sending information to any editors is not enough. What we need is information that is published in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article. GB fan (talk) 00:29, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

GB Fan, so what you are saying is, certified Court and Government documents are NOT reliable sources. The media says wnat it wants. The AP stated in December 2009, I was sentenced to 2 years in prison. I read that while smoking a cuban cigar in Tampa. I have court documents that show kit is the judge who is now a defendant in Federal Coourt for his actions against me. I also have a letter from the IN State Police showing I have no criminal record. So, is the AP a reliable source of information? If they are, they blew that story!ImpalerFilmsInc —Preceding unsigned comment added by ImpalerFilmsInc (talkcontribs) 01:50, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I never said that court and government sources are not reliable sources. I said that you emailing information to editors is not enough. I have also said the information must be published in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article. This is most important on biographies of living people such as this one. Sometimes even reliable sources get the information wrong. GB fan (talk) 02:16, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

GB Fan, Who do I have the VA send a letter to, so I can should you and Retserrof84 you have no idea what you are talking about? Especially regarding my military service. If you go to my IMDb page - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2652647/ you will see the one video shows me getting therapy at the VA on my knee and there is a reason why I have a Special Forces Sniper Tattoo on my right forearm. Also, in October 1979, Pope John Paul II was a Shea Stadium. Father Jack from St. Hedwig's Church grew up in Poland with the former Pope. That is how I meet him. St. Hedwig's Holy Name Society was invited for the Pope's visit. ImpalerFilmsInc —Preceding unsigned comment added by ImpalerFilmsInc (talkcontribs) 02:42, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You can have the VA send a letter to a news organization so they can write a story about your military service. Then we will have a published reliable source that we can use as a reference. I am not sure what you need to show me that I don't know what I am talking about. I don't believe you are lying about the information you have given, but as I have stated multiple times now we need reliable sources for the information. This isn't my rule, it is a policy within Wikipedia to protect the people we have articles about and also to protect Wikipedia from lawsuits. GB fan (talk) 11:47, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
GB Fan, Wiki has re-instated my Jonathon The Impaler account. Can you PLEASE upload my picture from this article? http://conservativedailynews.com/2011/05/jonathon-sharkey-2012-presidential-candidate-profile/ as you will see, it is a liable source and i did have to send them all links and documents proofing my service in the Army, my VA Disability etc... I was told NOT to edit my own page, but, I could talk on the discussion page. Thank you. If someone reads this and sock puppets me, I know who to email at wiki to have it undone. This is me... GB Fan, Thank you for putting up the picture. Now, to show you that the stuff on IMDb is correct, here are some links that are not on my page, but, other pages that confirm what is on my page - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0694908/ - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1825223/ - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1592892/ The True Impaler; Movie Trinity has a $1 Million budget. And to support my Army service - http://conservativedailynews.com/2011/05/jonathon-sharkey-2012-presidential-candidate-profile/ I did what you said about the VA. if you can, give the devil his due. For the record, I am Luciferian and follow the Goddess Hecate. if someone would be kind and make the appropriate change. I was also born on 2 Apr 1964. Thank you. Jonathon The Impaler 18:48, 30 May 2011
Why do you write that I am a SELF-PROCLAIMED Sanguinarian Vampyre and Luciferian? I do not see you say JFK was a SELF-PROCLAIMED Roman Catholic? Or that Mitt Romney is a SELF-PROCLAIMED Mormon (properly known as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). There are plenty of videos on the Net showing me "feeding" on women. I think whomever wrote SELF-PROCLAIMED is being bias towards me. Also, numorous news articles says I am an Ordained Dark Priest. Some do say I am a Satanic Dark Priest. There is a difference between Satanists and Luciferians. If someone could add Impaler Films, Inc. to my paghe, I'd appreciate it - http://www.zonie.com/tmp/ZonieForum/viewtopic.php?t=5744&sid=efb7efd2039ce7f77a0b7d7d474a963f As you will see, this artyicle mentions The Comeback Fighter. I realized it was better to sell it through an established company. It is registered in Florida - http://www.sunbiz.org/scripts/cordet.exe?action=DETFIL&inq_doc_number=P10000071183&inq_came_from=NAMFWD&cor_web_names_seq_number=0000&names_name_ind=N&names_cor_number=&names_name_seq=&names_name_ind=&names_comp_name=IMPALERFILMS&names_filing_type= Thank you to GB fan for all your previous help and anyone else who has been nice to me :) Jonathon The Impaler 20:28, 2 June 2011
Wiki Legal Department told me to post in the Talk section to make changes to my page, since people undo when I make correct changes. Here is a link to a story recently about me on Heroes Media Group - http://www.heroesmediagroup.com/tag/jonathon-tepes-sharkey/ Hopefully someone will make the proper changes to my page and update it. Especially since I have not wrestled in 10 years. Occupation now is, and once again is professional race car driver. I also have a SCCA Full Competition license. I hope someone will be nice to me :) JonathonTepes —Preceding undated comment added 00:54, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

IMDB

[edit]

I removed all the information attributed to IMDB. It is not a reliable source for personal information. The IMDB entry says it was written by Sharkey so it is a self published reference, therefore, not reliable. I also removed a statement that just discussed who he dates, not encyclopedic. GB fan (talk) 13:17, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

also for the record...it states in his article that he is satanic, but also mentions the Wiccan Rede. I find this highly offensive as Wiccans do not believe in Satan. I would really appreciate that comment being removed as we get enough bad press, and do not need to be associated with this guy. If this needs to be verified you can check the wikipedia definition of Wicca Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.71.30.126 (talk) 17:37, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do we have access to the previous version of this article, the one that was deleted before it was re-created? --Killing Vector (talk) 21:24, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You need to contact an administrator.--William S. Saturn (talk) 21:49, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you ask? This is the deletion log entry. Nothing much in the article at the time of deletion compared to the current GA candidate, although there's no BLP issue that I can see. Mjroots (talk) 07:03, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just in case there's something in there we can use. --Killing Vector (talk) 12:26, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done. The article survived multiple AFDs and was then speedy deleted under A7, which is quite out of process, since our deletion policy prohibits speedy deletion of kept-at-AFD articles except in cases of copyvio. Nyttend (talk) 12:44, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I thought the deletion was weird...hooray for white-hat 'crats. --Killing Vector (talk) 22:36, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know, I'm currently editing from a server that blocks the Wayback Machine for some reason. There are (as far as I know) two dead links in the article, and standard procedure for dealing with dead links is to Wayback-ify them. Because I can't do that currently (for the aformentioned reason) could someone else please help me out here? It'd be very much appreciated. Difluoroethene (talk) 02:19, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

it is "invalid"? this is a category with which i'm not familiar. can you explain what you mean, maybe? it seems to me that the picture adds value to the article. it's licensed for use. you've given no reason for removal that i've ever heard before. why not leave it in?— alf.laylah.wa.laylah (talk) 05:19, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

really? you're just going to remove licensed photos from articles because they're "invalid," whatever that means? can you at least leave more explanatory edit summaries? your removal of material sourced to blogs was good work, except for the careless reftag errors you left, but i just can't understand why you're taking out the pictures.— alf.laylah.wa.laylah (talk) 05:26, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Image restored, no valid reason to unilaterally remove an OTRS-verified image without even attempting to initiate a discussion here. Tarc (talk) 12:38, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The image is invalid. Sharkey donated the image, but is refusing to participate with wikipedia at this time. The rules on images is very clear - we need his permission to use the image, so until someone receives it from him, we cannot use material that is against privacy laws.--Screwball23 talk 16:11, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
i'm willing to admit that what you're saying makes sense, but i wish you'd explain it more instead of repeating that it's "invalid". i don't know what an invalid image is. if i removed a block of text with an edit summary saying it was "zygotic" i'd expect to be asked to explain. either the image is licensed for use on wp or it is not. the permissions on the two file pages say that those two images are licensed for use on wp. wp needs the owner's permission, but i've never heard anyone suggest that wp needs the owner's ongoing permission. if the licenses on the images are bad, the images will be deleted and there is no reason to remove them from the page. i don't think wp has a category of images that are licensed by their owners up until they're unhappy and then the license is automatically withdrawn. please, just explain to me what you mean by invalid?— alf.laylah.wa.laylah (talk) 16:19, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Screwball has absolutely no idea what he is talking about. Please do not listen to him, he has no grasp of image policy.--William S. Saturn (talk) 16:55, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
And you do? You are in direct correspondence with Sharkey and apparently you aren't even aware that we need his permission to use an image he took?--Screwball23 talk 18:38, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
We already have his permission to use the image.--William S. Saturn (talk) 18:39, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Prove it.--Screwball23 talk 18:42, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
First, find someone around you that's literate so they can read to you the license information on http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:Sharkey.JPG. --William S. Saturn (talk) 18:44, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Here is your proof. Nyttend (talk) 03:10, 11 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Once CC-BY-SA status has been released, it can't be recalled by the subject, just like you can't recall public domain stuff either. This is in following with the law. Once it's released, it's released, and the subject has no say in the matter after that, as long as proper attribution is given. SilverserenC 03:49, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone explain why the recent added image of Sharkey was added? The edit says it's him boxing, but he's just standing there, facing the camera, in an obvious pose. Why is this relevant to the article? PurityOfEssence (talk) 20:11, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

[edit]

After emailing with a Wiki Volunteer, I move to have this article deleted. This article has not been updated with new information in years. Though, 2 years ago, a Wiki Volunteer added numerous new articles.

Here is a article from last week

https://www.observernews.net/2021/06/03/ruskin-man-hopes-to-develop-hockey-training-in-ukraine/

I am not going to add your codes, because I do not do codes.

The page says I am a Perennial Candidate. Do you know what the word means? Ralph Nader and Jill stein have run for more offices than me. And I have not ran for any office in 10 years.

This page is simply bias. Read the TALK section. People saying I was never in the Army. When I am medically retired with a INDEF Military ID Card.

Remember, I live in Florida. You may want to read our laws about Big Tech silencing Conservatives...

I am not even Luciferian anymore. I go to a Ukrainian Orthodox Church. God and I made peace... We cool...

We all know, Wiki and I have a conflict of interest... Therefore, the article must be deleted... No matter the fact, I am still in the public eye and the media writes about me... — Preceding unsigned comment added by HockeyRacer (talkcontribs) 19:09, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've created the nomination page for you; see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jonathon Sharkey (6th nomination). Primefac (talk) 19:20, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative to Deletion

[edit]

Greetings Again :)

It is clear that the major supports my article as a KEEP. I will agree with the voters. However, it seems some agree with me, the article needs to be updated, and even remove LUCIFERIAN. Are you going to put Orthodox Christian in replace of it? I think not.

In lieu of DELETION, may I suggest;

Wikipedia:Deletion_policy#Alternatives_to_deletion

I am starting the Ukraine Ball Hockey Federation and bringing Ukraine into the ISBHF - International Street and Ball Hockey Federation.

I am also starting an alternative to IIHF in Ukraine.

Hockey will eventually rule Ukraine. And I will rule Hockey!

Like I tell people, I am; 1/3 Angelic 1/3 Pizza and Cakie Cake 1/3 Demonic (I still have the Devil in me)

2 years ago, in the Observer story; Cancer Brings Couple Together... The writer states, I am prone to wearing the BLACK HAT. I've never denied this. However, do not make me out to be 100% evil either.... Because, I have never been...

I would hope someone would be kind and properly update the Article... and be fair....

Also, as you can see from; https://www.observernews.net/2021/06/03/ruskin-man-hopes-to-develop-hockey-training-in-ukraine/

Oksana is news worthy and how many here reading this, has had a movie done about them, that was a Finalist? Media loves Oksana more than they love me now or ever...

End voting when you want... HockeyRacer (talk) 21:00, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Considering all the media exposure my wife Oksana has received both Nationally and Internationally (Ukraine and Russia), why doesn't she qualify for an article?
In this news article from Slam -
https://slamwrestling.net/index.php/2011/06/29/the-impaler-enters-the-republican-presidential-fray/
In the end of the second paragraph they write; While he currently wrestles as a Vampire,
One must asked, since I have been wrestling since 1988, when the media covered me about the Vampirism, was I in character? Or, am I truly a Vampire :) The world may never know :)
If you think about it, none of the new media articles even mention Vampyrism... I do not think it has been mentions in 7-8 years...
Also, why is Luciferian still mentioned? Even on the deletion discussion someone agreed with me it should not be there... If the article mentions Luciferian, it should now mention I am Ukrainian Orthodox... Fair is fair... Last media story says Ukrainian Orthodox...
Thank you for helping :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by HockeyRacer (talkcontribs) 19:57, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Greetings :@Djflem:.
Per this media article:
https://www.observernews.net/2019/05/16/cancer-brings-couple-together/
"Married going on three years, the couple met at the Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa in June 2014, where Oksana was a nurse for Danielle, Jonathon’s oldest daughter (from a previous marriage), who was suffering with acute lymphoblastic leukemia with the Philadelphia chromosome. Jonathon and Oksana married in October 2016, and, as they say, the rest is history."
We met in 2014 and were married October 14, 2016... Reporters can't remember everything...
Serious question--
How do I add a picture... The article picture is from 2011/12? I look nothing like that, if you read the media stories now...
Here is just 2 TV stories for Oksana:

Setting The Record Straight

[edit]

Officially, I have only properly asked that my article be deleted twice. The 5th time as you can see in the notes and this last one number 6. However, after I asked for this last deletion, I was privately told, it was the wrong thing to do. However, a 7-6 vote casted the article remained. This is okay.

However, as mentioned in the posting for Deletion 6 - https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Jonathon_Sharkey_(6th_nomination) there are people who agree with me, that the article needs to be updated. And someone even agreed, stating I WAS formerly a Luciferian, didn't needd to be in the article. I'm waiting to see who writes that I am now Ukrainian Orthodox.

Also, since I have not had my retirement match from Wrestling, I still must stay in character. As Slam.CA states in - https://slamwrestling.net/index.php/2011/06/29/the-impaler-enters-the-republican-presidential-fray/ in second paragraph;

"While he (me - Sharkey) currently wrestles as a Vampire..." So, is the Vampirism real? Or full in character wrestling thing? The world may never know.

There is no mention in the article about me starting the Veterans Racing League - https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/region-hillsborough/veterans-rev-their-engines-in-new-go-cart-racing-league-in-wimauma or anything about me returning to racing in 2014, as some media articles state with pictures!

Nor does the article talk about what I am doing in Ukraine with Ice and Ball Hockey, as well as that I play Ice Hockey here in Tampa Bay, at the Tampa Lightning Training Center.

This article is really not up to date. While other articles updated daily. I'm not feeling the respect. It is sad. And how do I have NEW updated pictures added? They are on my Facebook page and I can email them to however with a release. The picture of me is so outdated :( Though I look cool :)

Oksana my wife, truly deserves an article, giving the media writing she has gotten nationally and internationally for her being the Racing Nurse!

HockeyRacer (talk)

We can't take the word of some random account who claims to be the subject. Anything in this article must adhere to the WP:BLP policy, in that any assertions must be cited to reliable sources. If any changes or additions are to be made to this article, those changes and additions need to reference published, reliable sources that are independent of the subject: that means sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy (not forums, blogs, tweets, Facebook pages, and whatnot), and not the personal word of an account here. Even if you proved your identity to OTRS, the WP:BLP policy cannot be violated; facts published in reliable independent sources are still needed. If you have any to offer, then changes can be made.
If you want to set the record straight, then published sources must speak for you. ~Anachronist (talk) 01:43, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So, let's talk :)

This should have been mentioned back in 2006 from Time Magazine Verbatim on 23 Jan 06 - http://content.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1149371,00.html - "Unlike other candidates, I'm not going to hide my evil side." JONATHON (THE IMPALER) SHARKEY, former pro wrestler and candidate for Minnesota Governor, whose platform includes a plan to impale terrorists

As far as wrestling, I have not been in the Ring since 14 Jun 08... However, I have not had my retirement match yet. So, OFFICIALLY, I am NOT retired.

You ask for articles... Here is what was posted on TALK 2 years ago by you... Thank you :)

Here, the Veterans Racing League from ABC News Tampa Bay affiliate: https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/region-hillsborough/veterans-rev-their-engines-in-new-go-cart-racing-league-in-wimauma ABC News is no longer factual enough? I have no comment on that... This story was also on Yahoo News for a time. All these articles from from RESPECTED media in Tampa Bay and other states. These SOURCES speak of me. However, they love Oksana more than me... That should tell you something :)

Some of your own community agreed with me, my article is outdated. What do I have to do? Beg the GOP to get someone to updated? Show LOVE... Not HATE!

Greetings 🐶 EpicPupper How about finally updating my article based on all the media stories written about me in the past few years? This truly shows how BIAS Wikipedia truly is. If I said I would IMPALE someone, it be placed under Legal problems. I do something good for others, and no way Wikipedia Community is going to post it. I was advised by Wiki Voluntary email to request an edit.

Even last year, when I wanted the article deleted, people agreed, my article is out of date. Yet, no one will updated.

Fortunately for Wiki, their people in this world, will believe anything they read, without going to TALK.

I knew I should have bet the Voluntary money that no one would update this! - HockeyRacer — Preceding unsigned comment added by HockeyRacer (talkcontribs) 20:53, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

HockeyRacer, you haven't actually said what changes you want to have made to the article, which is what EpicPupper was asking for in their reply to you. Simply plonking a reference down on the talk page and saying "here, add this!" isn't terribly helpful. Primefac (talk) 09:33, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Primefac It is my article, therefore, from my understanding, I am only able to post new material from the media, and HOPE someone will use it to update my article. If an article came out that said, IF I BECOME PRESIDENT, I WOULD IMPALE BIDEN, it would have been added to the article without me asking.

If you see above in TALK, many recent media stories about me with Racing, Hockey and now Baseball. As well as Ukraine and my wife. No one is updating. If I was allowed to update my article, I would read through the articles... Also, the Wiki Article mentions when I was Luciferian, it does not mention I am Christian Orthodox... The GOOD things I do, do not get in my Wiki Article... Also, the picture from the latest article is allowed to be used by Wiki to update my picture - HockeyRacer — Preceding unsigned comment added by HockeyRacer (talkcontribs) 11:21, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct that you shouldn't be editing your own article (and I'm glad you're not trying!) but you are still allowed to suggest changes to the article - that's what the {{request edit}} template is used for: you say "XYZ should be added to the article" and an uninvolved editor will determine if it's appropriate to add. Primefac (talk) 11:31, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings Primefac There are a few recent articles about me and what I am doing, especially in Ukraine. For me to says "XYZ should be added to the article" in a way, I am then influencing my article. I have stated above, that there is NO MENTION that I am NOT LUCIFERIAN anymore, and that I am Ukrainian Orthodox, even being a member of a Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Tampa Bay. But, if Wikipedia mentions that, then I am no longer the Satanic Vampyre. You can't have people think that I no longer run with the DEVIL... It may kill the bias purpose of this article. I have given you building blocks without me controlling the concept of the article about me. How many people have completed USA Baseball's Coaches and Umpire courses?

If you read the new story, you see I look nothing like my picture. I give Wikipedia the right to use the media photograph, because that is what I am authorizing the media to use. Let's see how long this 2011 picture stays on as my profile picture... HockeyRacer — Preceding unsigned comment added by HockeyRacer (talkcontribs) 19:13, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
