Mascot named after a Slave Owner
[edit]User NJD-DE felt my edit pointing out how Jonathan is named for a slave owner was unconstructive. Please share your thoughts, I think we are seeing a reevaluation of mascots nationally and this factual statement sheds light on UCONNs choices. Paugussett (talk) 17:36, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
- I don't think there is a problem mentioning that Trumbull was a slave owner somewhere in the article, however, the way you had it written was that the dog was named after Trumbull because he was a slave owner and that is misleading. Mjs32193 (talk) 19:57, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
