"British politician" in lead sentence
[edit]To the IP editor 150.107.175.66: please stop removing "British politician" from the lead sentence of the article. Without it, the reader won't be able to clearly and quickly establish who he is. He may no longer be in office after an election loss, but that doesn't mean he has quit being a politician and potential candidate (and if so, we'd put "former politician" in the lead instead). — AP 499D25 (talk) 07:17, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
- It appears that he's been trying and failing to get back into teaching since his defeat at the general election, so perhaps "former politician" would be more appropriate. 87.75.117.183 (talk) 17:14, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
