This version of this article was a copy of the test found at the Royal Academy's website ([1]). I have revered the article several times to the version with no text from the website (that is protected by copyright law). A few days ago an unregistered user () reverted again the changes to the copyrighted version and explained that "the revision was made because of suspected copyright violation. But the Royal Academy of Music has authorised reproduction of this text, which is more accurate". I don't see anything in the RAM's website indicating that they do grant free use of the material found on their website. Please discuss here.--Karljoos (talk) 11:13, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am happy to confirm that the Royal Academy of Music has authorised free use of Prof Jonathan Freeman-Attwood's biography on wikipedia — Peter Craik, Marketing and Communications Manager, Royal Academy of Music. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PeterCraik (talkcontribs) 12:00, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

? biography

[edit]

This whole thing barely rates as a biography, apparently starting half though the subject's life. It could more appropriately be called a discography. When was he born? where was he born? what was his educational background? We have huge amounts of quite unnecessary detail about the musical recordings but little of the man.
