Prose Suggestions
[edit]Yahweh commands the fish to vomit Jonah out. suggest Yahweh then commands the fish to vomit Jonah out..Yahweh again commands Jonah to visit Nineveh and prophesy to its inhabitants. suggest Yahweh again commands Jonah to travel to Nineveh and prophesy to its inhabitants.which decrees fasting, sackcloth, prayer, and repentance. suggest which decrees fasting, the wearing of sackcloth, prayer, and repentance.Even the king comes off his throne to repent. suggest removal; the king previously ordered the people to repent, whereas this makes it seem like he was the last to repent.and demands for Yahweh to kill him unless this is directly in the source, id suggest pleads, as it seemed more of the tone to me.it exaggerates the size of the city of Nineveh to an implausible degree[1][17] and incorrectly refers to the administrator of the city as a "king". you can remove the citation after implausible degree, as they share the same citation as the end of the sentence.
- I am going to leave the citations, since the statement may be controversial to some and, without the citations, people might challenge it. --Katolophyromai (talk) 17:34, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
- That is all my suggestions. Passing now. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 15:06, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
Also please fix ref#46, it's currently Ziolkowsi 2007 instead of Ziolkowski 2007. -- Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 15:09, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
- Finnusertop has already taken care of this criticism. --Katolophyromai (talk) 17:51, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
- Non-reviewer comment: Katolophyromai, please address what is (in References) "Walton, Armerding & Walker 2005" but "Walton, Armerding & Walker 1985" under Bibliography. The ISBN points to a 1985 edition, but the linked Google Books edition is from 2017 and with an entirely different ISBN (ISBN 978-0-310-53196-8). What edition the page numbers are from, I have no idea. – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 16:09, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
- I have now fixed the reference. --Katolophyromai (talk) 21:20, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
