Error re Ledecky's undergraduate studies

[edit]

"Thus Ledecky started studying business administration at Harvard University...."

Harvard College does not have a "Business Administration" concentration (major). The article does not state that Ledecky majored in business administration, but it is implied. Harvard is a liberal arts school and narrow-range pre-professional courses are rare. For example, it also is not possible to concentrate in journalism, despite Harvard having produced many prominent journalists. Ledecky may have concentrated in Economics.

Here is what actually happened. Ledecky was a government concentrator who attempted briefly to write a senior thesis but, on account of distractions and/or lack of interest he turned in a badly botched product. It happens! Likely embarrassed he has constructed a Wikipedia entry suggestive of an obviously impossible business administration degree. He became a successful businessman. He should have come clean long ago. We all have derailments in life. 96.239.54.133 (talk) 10:51, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I put this in pre login. I'll take responsibility for it. Cforemanumd (talk) 11:40, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As you might imagine I was in fact the adviser on the intended thesis and am myself holder of the Harvard A.B. in government (cum laude) and its Ph.D. in political science. My knowledge in this matter is quite direct. Cforemanumd (talk) 09:26, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
