Skateboard sources
[edit]The Berrics is a well established skateboard website owned by Steve Berra and Eric Koston. I noticed some WP:GF edits that were consistently removing Berrics as a source, but we have to understand that skateboard‑related news won't reach mainstream sources like NYT, CNN, etc unless the skater has a status of "popular celebrity" like Tony Hawk, Jason Lee, etc. Some other examples of well established skateboard‑industry sources are TWS, Thrasher, etc. It's good to have overseers to keep articles in-check, but skateboard‑related articles will most likely be edited by skateboarderers, so I kindly ask to take it easy on the revert button if you're not too familiar with skateboarding. 2023 Media Coverage in DFW
[edit]In the past, there have been petitions and other public initiatives to rename the Garland, Texas skate park after Jon Comer, However, local news and social media have not widely covered the topic until recently, with the Dallas Morning News and other outlets reporting on Tony Hawk leading calls to rename the park. 47.184.163.71 (talk) 07:55, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
