Subject-corrected edits

[edit]

The subject of this article has previously made corrections to this article here and here and I edited the article accordingly per WP:BLP. The subject-made corrections are also copied here for future reference:

(Correction to the above by Johnny Seay)...("I left the Louisiana Hayride in 1960 and moved to Nashville. Recorded a couple more sides for NRC Records, then signed with Capitol Records and this was the first time my name appeared on a record as Johnny (SEAY), for a couple of release's. (I battled to have my name spelled correctly from the beginnpng.) I moved to Hollywood in late 1961 at the request of Johnny Western to try and get some movie or TV work in westerns. That didn't go so well, but I met Ben Johnson through Johnny Western and he got me a job on is father-in-law's ranch where I worked for over a year. While working there, Shelby Singleton called and ask if I was tried of cowboying, I said no, and he said "would you like to come to Nashville and record for Philips Records. I said yes, and he said he would send me and airline ticket. I cashed the ticket in and hitched a ride with Marty Robbins on his bus to Nashivlle. Marty just happened to be playing a show in North Hollywood at the time. After getting settled back in Nashille, I moved my wife and babies back there and stayed until 1969. Then I moved to Justiceburg, Texas and became an $8.00 a day cowboy again on a 160,000 acre ranch. I a lot more fun than being a singer in Nashville"...)

In 1964 he began recording again, and his "My Baby Walks All Over Me" and "My Old Faded Love" became country chart successes.[1] Signing with Warner Bros. Records in 1966, he released the song "Day For Decision", a spoken-word response to Barry McGuire's "Eve of Destruction" ((Correction by Johnny Seay))("I had nener heard Berry McGuuire's record "Eve of Destruction when I recorded "Day for Decision".)

Johnny SeaJohnny Seay — While some sources spell this gentleman's name "Sea", clearly the subject prefers to go by his birth name of "Seay" per this edit. WP:BLP I realize there is a redirect page Johnny Seay, I propose the article and redirect page be switched so that this gentleman is listed mainly by his birth name of "Seay". ♫ Cricket02 (talk) 03:48, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
