The information about Joan Vardaro McMillan's forthcoming memoir, The Strega's Story, is highly important to Indrisano's life and career, as it contains a great deal of biographical information not currently in the public domain about him. A version of McMillan's book is already available through ProQuest and via the San Jose Public Library system (under the title La Storia di la Strega: The Strega's Story), as it was her MFA thesis, and is thus a legitimate published source of information about Indrisano. There is no evidence that Indrisano was a strega or witch (or warlock, I suppose), and the book you're trying to cite does not meet Wikipedia standards as a notable book. Read the following guidelines carefully. [1] Apparently there is only one unpublished copy of the book you are attempting to cite, which makes the manuscript unsuitable according to Wikipedia source policies. No amount of Googling reveals the existence of such a published book or the alleged information it contains about Indrisano, who was a boxer, not a warlock. Thus I am going to remove from the article the information that appears to be vanity self-promotion, which is a deletable violation of Wikipedia policies in and of itself. I do think Indrisano himself deserves an article so I am not going to nominate the entire entry for deletion. While not a famous boxer himself, he apparently is notable for getting knocked-around by an impressive number of boxers who were notable. Qworty 00:36, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While the book you are attempting to cite fails several well-established verifiability tests in terms of the purposes to which you are trying to put it here, be particularly aware of the following from the link provided above: "Since Wikipedia is not a crystal ball articles about books that are not yet published are generally discouraged unless multiple independent sources provide strong evidence that the book is widely anticipated and unless the title of the book and its approximate date of publication have been made public."

Thus, your attempt to turn this article about a boxer into a hybrid article about a book that has never been published--and is not even anticipated by anyone to be published in the future--violates more than one long-established Wikipedia policy. Qworty 00:46, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
