Conflict of interest?

[edit]

The article's creator and (thus far) only editor is Jpewoodward. The user name gives the impression that the subject of the article is the author or the author is a close relative of the subject. Jpewoodward, you may want to read about Wikipedia's policies on conflict of interest. I also proposed this article for deletion, as, any conflict of interest aside, it doesn't seem Mr. Woodward meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines. 107.10.43.91 (talk) 18:01, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

While claims of notability has been somewhat addressed (although I think there are still issues), the conflict of interest concern still stands. Please don't remove the tag until it's been discussed. 107.10.43.91 (talk) 18:44, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Response to Conflict of Interest

[edit]

I am the son of John Woodward, I checked the conflict of interest page, and it doesn't say that you can't create a page for a relative, but that it has to be objective. I don't think there is any opinion in the details I have added, but I'll check again and make it is all factual.

On notability, perhaps if I list some of the more notable inquiries he conducted. Many were major environmental and planning inquiries in NSW, Australia, which had a significant impact on the business and community domains within NSW.

He was also Mayor of North Sydney. It is a little hard to find gold plated citations, the internet was not around at the time, but I feel I have provided reasonable evidence of notability.

Appreciate your advice and feedback.
