[edit]I dunno, the picture on this page is a bit ambiguous don't you think? Yes, the building in the background doen't look Georgian but a better pic wouldn't go astray.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.217.91.57 (talk • contribs) 31 August 2005
Suggesting an edit of article
[edit]Hi, I'm going to politely suggest this article now needs quite a bit of work. I'd also suggest that some of the newer points that discuss Verge's work fall into the 'opinion' category. Scott E Hill (talk) 09:10, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
Austral Eden
[edit]Was his home really called Austral Eden? The NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages shows:
- John and Mary Verge had a number of children including Austral (1847) and Eden (1844), as well as Sydney (1836), German (1838) and Auburn (1846).
- There was also an Austral Verge, who died in 1939, in NSW.
- Jack Verge was the son of Austral and Matilda Verge, of Hampden Hall on Macleay River, NSW.
It seems very likely that Austral Verge is one and the same, and that his father, John, is the subject of this article. FunkyCanute (talk) 16:12, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
