At present, this article reads little more than as a list of bullet points. Could it be re-written in a more continuous style, as many other Wikipedia articles are? I would be especially interested if there were more on Templeton's interest in religion, including references to his books on this topic. ACEO 19:52, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nutjobs

Some of you people are being extra-retarded with deleting citations for the fact that Templeton is a billionaire. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.215.78.126 (talkcontribs) 15:36, 18 May 2007

Fixing this article

[edit]

This article needs additional work. I moved the section on avoiding taxes and made a grammatical change...still, it needs work!Icewater5 (talk) 17:49, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it needs a lot of work. The article refers to him as "Sir", but there is no indication of which order of chivarly he belonged to, at what level, or how he got it. The article is also something of a snow job - for example, it says he renounced his US citizenship so he could funnel more money to charity. Well, maybe, but that sort of judgement or justification doesn't belong in the article. Or the mention of how old he was when he died belongs in the fact box, not in what amounts to a section of its own. The description of his career is very vague, long on the folksy story of how he bought low priced stocks at the depths of depression, but not much his career as a whole. All in all, it reads like a quick pastiche of the PR material from a sales brochure and his obituary. AlexFeldman (talk) 01:06, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
