First 999 call

[edit]

An interesting piece of trivia is that Beard seemed to have made the first known 999 call in the United Kingdom when the service was introduced. Or rather, his wife did on his behalf from their home in Hampstead, London. See the BBC article for info on it. Noldorin (talk) 00:03, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome, thanks! Put it in. --Yngvadottir (talk) 13:01, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bullet points vs. subheads

[edit]

The article was originally written using an expanded bulleted list: last version before another editor changed these to subheadings. I prefer that as closer to standard format for architects. The cinemas are described in full sentences because of a Did You Know requirement for a minimum amount of continuous prose, but I'm not sure it's worth turning them into sentence fragments for the small gain in brevity.
