Possibly unreliable source
[edit]I'm checking out the source: landed family blogspot. To my humble opinion it looks rather reliable. But I'm not sure. --Dick Bos (talk) 16:10, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
My request at Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard#Landed_families_blogspot brings some interesting discussion. Of course there is reason to be careful. But there are reasons to consider this website as a serious business, as well. The simple fact that it is hosted on blogspot should - in my opinion - not be the only criterium. The final conclusion at 17:38 to use other, better sources is rather optimistic. If I had had other, better sources, I would have used them, of course. But I'll keep searching (see below etc). It may take a few days.... And perhaps someone else is better equipped to find sources than I am, down here in Holland, away from possibly available written sources. --Dick Bos (talk) 19:24, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
Work in progress
[edit]I'll soon continue working on this lemma, for instance:
- try to find image of Clungunford Auk (see Shropshire Star 2020-03-03)
- try to find image of Rocke (see Lawley, M. (2018). "30 The Psychology of Finding and Recognizing Wildlife". In Naturalists in the Field. Leiden, The Netherlands: Brill, p. 904.)
- completing the list of publications (e.g. in The Zoologist). See 1872
- etc.
