The 1690 date needs citation. The nomination form cited earlier in the article describes the house as "early 18th century" "with some parts likely dating back to the 17th century." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Old houses (talk • contribs) 17:41, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
- Here's a source for an earlier 1685 date: [1] Historic Buildings of Connecticut website retrieved on: 2021-04-16.Tomticker5 (talk) 15:41, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- That source is itself unsourced. There are no known first period features in this house, so likely a 1730+ structure.Old houses (talk) 20:22, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

And why is this the "John" Randall House? Not a famous person, so it's not really appropriate to name a house just for the male.Old houses (talk) 20:28, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
Restoration 2024
[edit]The John Randall house is currently under complete restoration. The home had been neglected for more than 20 years and was on the verge of collapse. The home was purchased by an Italian owned company and the work is now being completed by the Vermont based company Randall's Restoration. Jatozano4 (talk) 09:49, 14 February 2025 (UTC)
