Forecasts need to be brought up to date
[edit]There is a reference to a forecast that arctic ice may disappear as soon as 2012. Perhaps this could be moved out a few years to say 2014 or maybe 2015? The situation could be reviewed than and adjusted accordingly.
It may be simpler to simply remove the "as soon as" part of the forecast and just stick with the longer term forecast which is known to be true with more certainty. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.239.102.8 (talk) 03:12, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
Scientist?
[edit]Having searched Google Scholar, the only academic publication by John Nissen seems to be a paper delivered at the AGU conference in 2011. Mr Nissen may have a degree in the natural sciences, but I am presuming that this is an undergraduate degree. On this basis, I think it is potentially misleading to call him a scientist. Does he hold any further relevant qualifications? I am happy to call him a science graduate, but scientist implies a level of public academic recognition that I don't think is apparent in this case. Considering AfD
[edit]Unclear that this article subject is sufficiently notable. Cutting unsourced promotional content. Considering putting it up for AfD. Any thoughts? Boredintheevening (talk) 02:11, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
