Location(s) of the Bell
[edit]St Paul's churchyard is not "without Temple Bar". There is probably some confusion between the original shop in the churchyard taken over in 1648 from Andrew Hebb and a second shop of the same name used after the Great Fire of London (which destroyed the first) and which was, indeed, "without Temple Bar". According to Blayney, Martyn returned to the churchyard in 1670. [1]
