Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because Brinnin is a widely-known literary person closely connected with the later career of Dylan Thomas. Martinevans123 (talk) 20:25, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Quite the opposite. I believe that I wrote the s article first. The Wikipedia version I wrote predates the plagiarized blogpost. David A. Victor (talk) 20:40, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You ought to know. You're not opposing speedy? Martinevans123 (talk) 21:50, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be contested for deletion. It should be retained. The publication cited as the source actually plagiarized my original Wikipedia article. My original Wikipedia article predates by seven years the post cited as cause for deletion. I do not know the proper procedure for making the argument to retain the original Wikipedia article that I wrote. If I am doing this incorrectly, please advise me on how to do so correctly. Thank you. David A. Victor (talk) 03:06, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This discussion thread should suffice. My objection was a general one - that Brinnin is a notable individual and the article should be re-written if necessary. Your objection is very specific and suggests that no re-writing is necessary. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 07:35, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Was this article deleted? David A. Victor (talk) 23:59, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I just clicked on the "Article" tab above, and there still seems to be lots of words there.... Martinevans123 (talk) 06:42, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
