Stories that don't belong?

[edit]

I notice that among the "John Kirowan" stories mentioned on the page, are at least two that don't seem to belong: - Scarlet tears is listed under different main characters in the general list of Howard's works, so which version is correct? - The Black Stone : While Kirowan has indeed visited Hungary, this is at best circumstantial evidence, and very flimsy at that, since no other attested Kirowan story mentions that episode, even obliquely, and no internal evidence in the story even points at Kirowan, and it would be strange for a Howard story whose character is a recurring protagonist not to be named.

Any opposition to my erasing them until better evidence for attribution surfaces? --Svartalf (talk) 00:37, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Go ahead. I'm having a hard time working out where I found that information (I wrote it in my earlier Wikipedia days, before I was aware of proper referencing). I thought it was from HowardWorks but apparently not. - AdamBMorgan (talk) 17:07, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

John or Michael?

[edit]

I'm just off from reading Dermod's Bane, where it's painfully clear that Kirowan's christian name is Michael. So unless we have a plurality of Kirowans all in the same mold, and all the stories don't actually belong to the same character, it seems likely that Kirowan got mistakenly attributed a common first name with Conrad and this page needs to be retitled.Svartalf (talk) 16:14, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I waited two weeks for any reactions, now I went bold and did it.--Svartalf (talk) 20:49, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
