Video Games
[edit]Does the current section on Video games provide appropriate content to this article or should it be deleted? The video game image is being challeged for deletion which then also raises the question regarding the entire section. Are there any thoughts on the subject? Dbiel (Talk) 21:07, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- Just an update, the image has now been deleted. The question remains regarding the section, if it should also be deleted. Dbiel (Talk) 00:46, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Dorsai
[edit]Would it be appropriate to add a section, similar to other historical figures, referencing their mentions in literature? Gordon Dickson's Dorsai series makes several mentions of John Hawkwood as the inspiration of their splinter society. Boomcoach (talk) 19:35, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Needs citations
[edit]Added citation tag. Nice article, perfect length, but needs citations.
As for the video game section, whoever deleted it did the right thing. Being a character in a video game comes under trivia, as do appearances in literature, unless as a significant character in a significant work. Being cited as "inspiration" for an obscure work does not count. J M Rice (talk) 08:59, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
THE BRAVE LITTLE TAILOR
[edit]Could John Hawkwood have been the basis for the fairy tale THE BRAVE LITTLE TAILOR? He was known as "Needle" John because he originally trained as a tailor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.246.167.113 (talk) 02:32, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
