I found John Finiello's name highlighted as an external link in the Mickey Duffy article, in connection with a raid on the Rising Sun breweries in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on September 19, 1930. Finiello's murder seems to be a turning point in Duffy's life. While the external link gave some information and the ATF website gave more about the circumstances of his death. A Google search of his name revealed his son's obituary, mentioning Finiello's wife's name and Finiello Senior's death, as well as a bottle collection website citing a September 20, 1930, Daily News report saying that Finiello was an "... ace of Philadelphia raiders, who had a reputation for being incorruptible", which hints that there is a lot more to be told about Finiello, his life and the raid. There is a Wanted Poster for Albert I. Silverberg in connection with the murder. A geneologists wiki indicates there are both marriage and war records in existence. The newspapers of the time covered the murder,[1] subsequent investigations, [2] arrests, [3][4] and related events.[5] The raid appears to be covered by several books, I cited two, but there are others.[6][7][8] While these sources are just what I can find on-line, I suspect a newspaper search of the time would reveal many more reports. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to access such off-line American newspaper collections. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 02:53, 27 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
