2008 indictment
[edit]Someone added a link to a 2008 blog post about an idictment. I replaced the link to a blog with a link to a news story. Nut, as this is a 2008 indictment, it doesn't belong in a BLP until there's info about how it was resolved. So I've "hidden" it until someone can make the paragraph at least minimally compliant with the rules for biographies of living people. David in DC (talk) 15:59, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
- It's clearly evident that we've reached the point where Wikipedia has too many articles which too few people care about. That's just in general. There is also an obvious undertone on Wikipedia of politician biographies being treated like a necessary evil rather than an essential part of the encyclopedia (can you say "red-headed stepchild"? I knew you could).
- First of all, the Alaska political corruption probe was hardly underreported by the media. In fact, it was nearly an obsession in the case of certain media outlets. I'll quit ranting and get right to the point: Cowdery was convicted and sentenced to six months' house arrest. The whole thing was over and done with several years ago, in fact. Are you saying that you can't find a source for this, or you just can't be bothered? RadioKAOS – Talk to me, Billy 21:53, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- I was saying I choose how to spend my volunteer time, as I imagine you do as well. I noted the problem and made a stop-gap fix. Now someone has used their volunteer time to make the article better and I've come along to fix some stylistic matters. I may return to fix some more refs and fill in more gaps in the article. Or you could. Or someone else can. That's how volunteer, collaborative editing works. I regret that something has embittered you about that. And I wish you wouldn't take it out on me.
