self-written
[edit]This reads like the guy had a hand in writing it. Kansaikiwi (talk) 02:21, 18 August 2010 (UTC) Of course he wrote it himself. Who else is going to write it? Kind of sad.
- Comments that age like milk: 2603:6080:8607:F22:A17A:1E:6878:FF47 (talk) 10:09, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
Why is he leaving AMC Movie Talk? Did AMC ask him to say something about a movie he didn't like? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:C401:DA10:D901:5797:EC07:8D69 (talk) 00:37, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]I feel like there's a ton of vandalism going on here. The personal life section is borderline slander. 2601:603:2080:2890:1B9:B3BF:198E:7F69 (talk) 06:11, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- Controversies section reads like it was written by someone with a personal grudge. Extreme Liberal? Disparaging remarks to online viewers who identify as straight white males? This seems unbecoming of an unbiased online encyclopedia. 77.98.74.70 (talk) 06:52, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
- In all fairness those thing mentioned in Controversies did happen, a simple YouTube search will confirm that. 96.87.118.241 (talk) 22:54, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, there is unfortunately a campaign of hate against Campea at this time, with a particular YouTube channel that is advertising and encouraging such vandalism being a likely encouragement of such childish behavior. The "controversies" section is nothing but personal grievances with no citations, as well as false claims that he "edits his own page" with no proof of such. - Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Seawolf35 (talk) 08:26, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

- Done closing (per request). M.Bitton (talk) 21:47, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
- Such a weird thing. The suggestion includes the relevant section, the exact content to be added, including two references. And it's not done. Just because you want to know after which exact sentence to add the content, correct? You are 100% free to close this request, then use your own brains, and add the content anyway at a location you believe is suitable. Nothing is stopping you from doing that. But no, the request is unclear, the end. --62.166.252.25 (talk) 06:46, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
Controversies
[edit]In 2009, during his Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen review, John referred to two characters with a racial slur. John acknowledged this and apologized but kept the review on his YouTube channel.
In 2023, when discussing the treatment of VFX artists during the production of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, John stated he didn't care about the questionable work environment, which was criticized by fellow YouTube film channels. 2601:246:5B7F:A610:8CB1:B65E:DB29:771A (talk) 01:33, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
