First, I find the article rather good - close to perfect (that's why I rated it as B :)). Some areas for possible (limited) improvement:

  • the bio is on the short side; from this - 4/10 deals with the publication of Theory..., and 62 years of his life (1927-1989) are covered very fast basically with "he managed investments, he taught and written"
  • the theoretical contributions could perhaps benefit from more systematization (sub-sections?) and some more details
  • some photo would be nice (if available)

Anyway, this is really good already and, if someone more knowledgeable thinks there is no more relevant info, change the class to A and maybe push for Good/Featured article. AdamSmithee 12:23, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed statements

[edit]

Michael Kemp, in his Uncommon Sense (Wiley, 2016) mentions this article and disputes three of the claims in it: that Williams analysis of stock prices as reflecting their intrinsic value was pioneering; that he was a founder and developer of fundamental analysis; and that he was amongst the first to articulate the theory of Discounted Cash Flow based valuation. The source cited for these claims here is very weak, so I am modifying them to address Kemp's criticisms. StAnselm (talk) 02:49, 8 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
