[edit]
An image used in this article, File:CalhounJ.JPG, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Other speedy deletions
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Bumpass according to the "Early life and education" section; I'm putting it in the opening paragraph. Raymond1922 (talk) 20:20, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect reference cited

[edit]

"Among the aberrations in behavior were the following: expulsion of young before weaning was complete, wounding of young, increase in homosexual behavior, inability of dominant males to maintain the defense of their territory and females, aggressive behavior of females, passivity of non-dominant males with increased attacks on each other which were not defended against.[2]"

The cited paper ("Behavioral changes due to overpopulation in mice". Portland State University.) was not able to corroborate this statement. This statement is actually derived from Calhoun's 1962 "Population density and social pathology" publication, which can still be accessed via JSTOR (https://www.jstor.org/stable/24937233) since the DOI reference is not working.

I think the reference for the above statement should be changed to Calhoun's 1962 publication.
