Question

[edit]

Question: Where did the picture of Walther come from? - PTD Cooper — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.174.7.191 (talk) 00:02, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is from http://www.museibologna.it/musica/luoghi/76784/tipo/3650/offset/0/id/76761 ZiggyStarduxt829 (talk) 09:12, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing

[edit]

I am evaluating this article for a college assignment and I am noticing a heavy lack of sourcing throughout the page there are no citation numbers that link or jump to any sort of article or evidence to back up any of the facts presented and from taking a glance at the resources listed I am not sure that a handful of the info posted on this page is from those resources. I know the quote listed in the middle of the article is sourced back to Musica Poetica by Dietrich Bartel but there is no actual citation in the resources tabs for that article I was wondering if anyone had a link back to it or not and if anyone else was sure what parts of the article where relevant to the sources listed. I know Oxford Music Online does list a lot of information on Johann Gottfried Walther that is not already in this article and I was wondering if that resource would be valuable to add to this page to help expand it? Portrait

[edit]

Per the comment in the section above, I am removing the portrait of Walther as it seems to be spuriously attributed as a portrait of him. The image at http://www.museibologna.it/musica/luoghi/76784/tipo/3650/offset/0/id/76761 is attributed to be a portrait of a Thomas Christian Walther, not Johann Gottfried Walther. —*Fehufangą (✉ Talk · ✎ Contribs) 14:09, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
