[edit]Can anyone confirm the pronunciation of his name in English? kwami (talk) 10:31, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
It's Fran-ZEHN, that's why there's an accent over the e. Hdw (talk) 17:49, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, Fran as in the name Fran, or more like 'frond'?
- And is the Jo of Johan really pronounced "yow", rhyming with "wow"? — kwami (talk) 16:06, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- If the "English pronunciation" key is supposed to represent how English-speakers say his name in real life, then it's definitely incorrect. No hockey broadcasters ever put the stress on the second syllable. 192.197.178.2 (talk) 14:49, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
- Yo-hon Fronzen is the correct pronunciation. It's not "Yo-han," as in hand. And it's not Fran-zen as in Fran Drescher. Only the Canadian media pronounces it incorrectly. The local American media, as well as national American media pronounces it correctly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1_RGl4jRiQ --68.43.109.230 (talk) 12:38, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
- American media pronounces it correctly? Shouldn't you use a Swedish source? I hear a difference between your video, and for example this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAFTnXH78yY — Cursarion (talk) 09:04, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
- I tried to add a file called franzen.ogg where I pronounce Johan Franzén in Swedish but I wasn't sure how to do it. I've uploaded the file but have been unable to connect the file to the Franzen page. Maybe someone can help out here? /pulverapa
