Title vs titular

Please see the Wikipedia page on "Title character"; "titular" is a word, but not as clear in intent (and adding an unnecessary syllable), much as "utilize" often needlessly replaces "use." Dewoodys (talk) 22:40, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Dewoodys: I would assume you're referring to WP:TITULAR. Keep in mind, that's an "essay", not a guideline or policy, nor part of our Manual of Style. What you're talking about here is a preference issue, much as some people prefer Hemingway over Faulkner. Regardless, I changed the lead anyway since the cast list clears up any confusion about who's who. ButlerBlog (talk) 16:03, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
