[edit]

Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper is one of the most interesting books I've read. Lots of my friends have read it on my recommendation, and we all agree it is a book to challenge any parent in this difficult ethical situation. It's very easy to see how a little bit can turn into a lot, and when do you stop?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.217.205.203 (talk) 05:57, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Banned?

[edit]

What does "banned by the religious right" mean? More specifics, please. Isoxyl 04:53, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It means that certain conservative religious groups have banned their constituents from reading that book. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.131.114.82 (talk) 16:21, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

LoL, leaders of religions here in the US, and in the West in general, do not have the power to "ban" their followers from doing anything. they can only assert that this or that book is forbidden, but do they even do that? don't they merely say that this or that book is nasty or hateful or filled with sinful behavior? and don't liberal leaders do much the same thing about other books?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.23.224.120 (talk) 03:16, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

But specifically by whom? I don't think the "banned" thing appears in the article anymore. We can put it back in if we have a citation for it. Otherwise, it's just hearsay. Chrissypan 16:39, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

hearsay? gee, if it's true, someone could dig up a sourced quote, rather than simply assert that they heard someone say it, which is what "hearsay" means.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.23.224.120 (talk) 03:16, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Someone should remove the links to her books that link to other articles accidentally. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.206.83.152 (talkcontribs) 00:18, 23 March 2007

The link to her UK site needs changing - remove the '-'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.155.182.253 (talk) 21:02, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Preceded and followed by parameters

[edit]

I'm going through and deleting the preceded by and followed by parameters in each individual book article. These parameters don't apply to the books since as far as I know none of the books can be considered a series and the Template:Infobox Book states for those parameters: The preceded_by and followed_by fields both apply to books in a series and to sequels. They should not connect separate books chronologically. --ImmortalGoddezz 19:32, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image

[edit]

I hope nobody minds but I changed the image to something less blurry and where you can actually see her face. This is a photo I took at a book signing of hers in 2007, so it's entirely my own work. Chrissypan (talk) 00:33, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

hey sorry Chrissypan, um but does anyone have a better copyright-free image of her? cos this looks well, unprofessional and unglam. Regina marie (talk) 13:19, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was just wondering why some of the books have links and not Mercy-which is a really good one. somebody should write a page on Mercy.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Catthornton (talkcontribs) 15:21, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Here is a much better image 16352174. Can someone with rights to edit semi-protected pages switch the image? http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:16352174.jpg PLEASE! :) Thanks! Damandamythdalegend (talk) 18:42, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like there's a question about the copyright.. --CutOffTies (talk) 18:45, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Handle With Care

[edit]

That needs to be added. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.33.203.61 (talk) 02:50, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Genre

[edit]

It would help if the article mentioned the genre of her novels; and if the prose were more legato. 110.33.5.16 (talk) 00:35, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Between The Lines

[edit]

Her new book "Between The Lines" needs to be added to the bibliography. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.131.74.201 (talk) 03:15, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

no info on what kind of thing that Picoult writes about

[edit]

the article gives no info on what kind of thing that Picoult writes about, if she writes SF or detective fiction, history or anthropology, erotica or religious sermons. 03:19, 6 February 2013 (UTC) Michael Christian — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.23.224.120 (talk)

Innacuracy

[edit]

In the section where it talks about the CHaD walk, it says that it was in Hanover, Conneticut. However, the town is Hanover, New Hampshire. You can check the source link. I can't edit this page; could someone do it for me? Thanks. iannolon 20:38, 8 May 2017 (EST)

Good catch. I have made the change now that the page is unprotected. Furrykiller (talk) 23:47, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
