One is listed as Merseyside and the other as Lancashire. As both fall within the so-called 'metropolitan county' of Merseyside area either list both as being within Merseyside or both as within Lancashire. The present list is not consistent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.194.15.94 (talk) 23:44, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Some anonymous editor has reverted my change to the club's history, for which I provided two solid references. If some anonymous editor thinks those references are incorrect, some anonymous editor is welcome to provide better ones, but not to simply revert the change as if it were vandalism. Language Hat, my changes were not meant to be anonymous. I was simply not logged in as I'm using a new iPad. Apologies! However, The Jockey Club's history is not just something you can pile into like this based on a historical pamphlet that may or may not be valid. Books are written all the time suggesting alternative histories - does that mean they are more accurate than the history in The Jockey Club's own archives? If you contacted them you would find out that they are happy they were founded in 1750. I am returning the dates to the right place. You call my changes vandalism (I significantly improved the links on the page by the way and corrected other inaccuracies) but I suggest changing the history of one of the oldest clubs in England is vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.25.213.127 (talk) 19:04, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
