Is he actually Portuguese?

The article is very unclear about his background, in part because it is too much based on writer notes on a published work he created, and not enough on independent secondary sources. These indicate he was a permanent resident of Kenya when he died in Thailand. He was connected with an organization in what was then called Calcutta. I see no evidence he was ever in Portugal. He seems to have been either a British person or a native of India, who may or may not have had some European ancestry. He could possibly be Portuguese, but just because he wrote about the Portuguese does not make him one, especially in a way that was nationality as opposed to ancestry. We clearly need better sources and ones that shed more light on his actual life and actions.John Pack Lambert (talk) 18:14, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
