Michael Pollan quote

Under "Comedic Style" there is a quote comparing Joan Rivers to Johnny Carson that has been attributed to Michael Pollan (name linked to the famous food writer's page) since 2014: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Joan_Rivers&diff=prev&oldid=624208442

The quote cites a book (Timberg, Bernard. Television Talk: A History of the TV Talk Show, University of Texas Press (2002) p. 132.) which does provide the quote, attributed to a "critic Michael Pollan" and cites a New York Magazine article called "I Know Why the Caged Bird Kvetches" by James Wolcott: https://books.google.to/books?id=mcoBAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA51&source=gbs_toc_r&cad=2#v=onepage&q&f=false

I can't find any reference to that quote in the magazine article, and without any further evidence I doubt at least that "critic Michael Pollan" is the same person who wrote The Omnivore's Dilemma. But since the quote is improperly cited in the book, should it be removed altogether? Or somehow tracked down with more sophisticated research?

I removed the quote as there is no proper citation, per the note above. I also removed the sentence that had followed this quote regarding a description of the subject's personality by Ralph Schoenstein, as it was not pertinent the section.Prernagupta1 (talk) 17:53, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
