Added Category
[edit]Added Anglo-Indians category--71.30.177.228 07:26, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- This was incorrect and has been removed. The term "Anglo-Indian" refers to Indians of British ancestry and not Britons of Indian ancestry. -- Fullstop 13:01, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
A person of mixed British and Indian ancestry would qualify for the category regardless of place of birth or nationality. However, Mistry's father is Indain, but his mother is Irish, not British. I would say that he does not qualify for the category. Werdnawerdna (talk) 11:39, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

jimi Mistry's Father - Early Life
[edit]I corrected the incorrect background information for Jimi Mistry in the opening paragraph. The actor clearly states in Ottawa Express source used as a reference that his father is Indian and Hindu, NOT Parsi or Parsee. His father is not Zoroastrian of Iranian descent or one whose ancestors moved to India from Iran. His father is of a Hindu background, and he was raised a strict Roman Catholic. --CreativeSoul7981 (talk) 11:48, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- Great. Maybe we then need to add a section about his amphetamine use when he was living in Balsall Heath's Strensham Road in Birmingham in the early to mid '90s. Lol I was a witness.
- Dumping Meg for a TV dancer. Shame on you Jimi.1812ahill (talk) 21:23, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
Removed things unsupported by the references given and improved accuracy in accordance with the references
[edit]Removed the first few references and accompanying content because one was a link to an interview with Marisa Tomei about her work on The Wrestler (no reference to Mistry), another one referred to some tabloid's front page, and the third one (BBC's Strictly come dancing page) didn't even support "that he was brought up in his mother's Catholic faith", hence the removal of Category:English Roman Catholics. Also corrected the "Hindu father" thing in accordance with the actual source. --Wikipedia Wonderful 698-D (talk) 03:20, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
