Redirect

[edit]

I understand that this article is not particularly well written, because the person being written about doesn't have much reputable public information. However, I think it's the best we can do to cover the leader of a political party that has a seat in the legislature.

Basically, I'd argue that Jim Karahalios, as the leader and founder of a represented political party in Ontario, should have his own article. There are many other leaders of minor provincial parties with no seats at all with their own pages, it doesn't seem in line with precedent to redirect to someone else.

I would like to hear more about the issue, as just putting a redirect feels half-hearted. We should either just delete the page altogether, or keep and try to improve it. -PoliceClarity (talk) 14:10, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

He's not a member of Parliament. And as you note above, there's little in-depth coverage of him. I'm reverting for now, if you feel strongly and revert my redirect, AfD it is. Onel5969 TT me 22:31, 10 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly I will agree with you that there's not enough information for now, and what is written down probably can already be found on the NBP and Belinda Karahalios pages. At most this article would be a stub.
However, I think we should revise this decision after the election if there is enough information. PoliceClarity (talk) 14:12, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Missing context

[edit]

Article fails to include his expulsion from the Conservative party being due to his islamophobic rhetoric about fellow party members, as well as his (and his wife’s) repeated removal for refusing to provide vaccination records during the period of time which it was mandated. Article also fails to include the mission and priorities of his party, which include eliminating discussions of race and gender from schools, and tearing down wind turbines. 2607:FEA8:419D:1500:917A:BF66:735D:4020 (talk) 03:05, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
