Dream of the Rarebit Fiend
[edit]Why does this page require a link to Dream of the Rarebit Fiend ?

- I'm not sure of the reason behind the original question, but I came here to ask the same thing. The Dagwood is named for the character Dagwood. Jiggs dinner is named for the character Jiggs. The Welsh rarebit existed long before the comic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.148.7.164 (talk) 17:15, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
What roasted meat?
[edit]"and a thin gravy made from the drippings of the roasted meat."
Everything before this only mentions boiled meat, but not from out of nowhere pops some roasted meat from which we get drippings. And note: boiled meat doesn't have drippings, so we can't just substitute "boiled" for "roasted"! GeneCallahan (talk) 08:52, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
There is also supposed to be some type of turkey or chicken served in Jiggs dinner, and that's where you make the gravy from.
- I fixed this, so that it says "cooking broth" instead of drippings. I don't think there's turkey or chicken in a Jiggs dinner though Hyacinth45 (talk) 12:58, 16 Dec 2020 (UTC)
