Term's origin

[edit]

Where does the name "jheri curl" come from? --Scaryice 06:19, 6 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I still would like to know this. --Scaryice 11:58, 4 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

it says in the article that it's named for Jheri Redding. Here's a link with more information about him:

POV

[edit]

I removed the POV marker, because I think the recent changes by Sofaman made the article much more neutral. --Brian Z 16:29, 22 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This article is far to biased against the Jehri curl. I'm getting my shit curled up next month! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 20:40, 8 April 2008 (talkcontribs) 68.12.196.22

Picture needed

[edit]

Is there any way we can have a picture of this? The description doesn't do great justice.--Theloniouszen 20:28, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You've never seen a Jehri Curl before? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.45.77.197 (talk) 15:13, 19 April 2007

That's the best pic that can be used as an example? A guy with a hat on? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.161.167.162 (talk) 15:37, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Celebrity List

[edit]

Who is Ozan? 212.200.89.32 17:09, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed him. 212.200.89.32 17:10, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm boldly removing the entire celebrity list. I've already had to remove numerous entries and it doesn't seem to serve any real purpose. Most of the edits to it now are simply people adding themselves or their friends to it as a joke. Sperril 00:37, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the list for a second time. It is unreferenced, unlimited in size, and unmanageable. I'll reproduce the list here in it's entirety as of the time I removed it. Please do not put the list back into the article again without discussion. Thanks! Sperril 12:38, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since you aint got tha right to delete it, I'm putting it back, I doubt there are any more celebrities so no its not unmangable, you jerk. Payne2thamaxx
I'll leave it up there for the time being. If it gets vandalized like it did in the past, I'll remove it again. I have the same right to remove it as you have to add it. Also, the list needs references. We can't just take people's word for who wore a Jheri Curl. Sperril 15:59, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What's the whole freaking issue with taking the list down, it's mildly entertaining, and who really cares it's the fricking Jheri Curl list, go fight with kids adding themselves to the list of former presidents or something. And as Sperill said, I have the same right to post it as you have to remove it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrherbalwarrior (talkcontribs) 03:17, August 24, 2007 (UTC)

Michael Jackson's jheri curl — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.72.87.28 (talk) 02:26, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, removed it again. Don't bother putting it back, the article is bad enough without it. If you want to help the article, find some references. Precious Roy (talk) 22:16, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tense

[edit]

Is there any reason this is in past-tense? The Jheri Curl isn't a long outdated hairstyle no one wears. 74.64.15.17 (talk) 06:15, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're right. The article makes it sound like it doesn't exist anymore. Feel free to change it if you want to. Sperril (talk) 20:23, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Celebrity List

I think Eazy E should be added to this list, he was one of the pioneerss in the gangster rap revolution — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2Pac GOAT (talkcontribs) 23:20, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
