NOT the deceased MMA fighter

[edit]

I removed a load of material about "mixed martial arts" from the page due to the fact that there is a deceased MMA fighter named Jeremy Williams whom I believe is being confused with this Jeremy Williams. Seregain (talk) 14:58, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They are two different people, but the content removed from this article seems to be correct (and verified in this source:[1]). Sherdog has a page apparently about the subject of this article(http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Jeremy-Williams-20334), and the most recent event listed there is almost a year after Jeremy Williams (MMA fighter)(http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Jeremy-Williams-76) died. snigbrook (talk) 17:04, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
They are in fact two separate people. I have made changes and put the information regarding Jeremy's MMA career back onto the page. -Hunter. --98.249.118.156 (talk) 20:51, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
But you put the MMA stuff into the article about the boxer. I have reverted. Seregain (talk) 05:09, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There are two MMA fighters, one is deceased, the other (who appears to be the subject of this article) is also a boxer. More references: MTV, and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. snigbrook (talk) 15:05, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, great. As if this wasn't confusing enough already. Alright. It's still going to be a pain in the keister making sure people don't add stuff about the deceased Jeremy Williams' MMA history to this one's MMA history. (One of them should've changed his name.) The article title probably should be changed to denote his status as a former boxer and current MMA fighter. Seregain (talk) 16:08, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
He appears to be more notable as a boxer, so the current article title seems more appropriate. The article needs updating, although I can't find much recent information (the most recent I can find is an interview in 2009.[2]). snigbrook (talk) 17:38, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
