Co-founded?

[edit]

Not many sources, but here are the ones I can find on NewsBank:

"When he was recruited 12 years ago by The Week's founder Jolyon Connell, O'Grady ... He insists that he got the job at The Week "mainly because ..." The Independent: How ' The Week ' plans to inherit the Earth Independent, The (London, England) - Monday, October 1, 2007

"It was founded by former Sunday Telegraph deputy editor Jolyon Connell 10 years ago next month ... A mutual friend introduced Connell to media entrepreneur John Gordon, who suggested that the title should be subscription only, and advised him to hire Jeremy O'Grady" The Observer: Media: Feeding a taste for bite-size news: James Robinson hears how a walk in the Highlands led to the Week Observer, The (London, England) - Sunday, April 17, 2005

"The news digest magazine that was started from a garage in Paddington, West London, by Jolyon Connell, former deputy editor of The Sunday Tele graph, and Jeremy O'Grady ... Connell conceived the idea on holiday in Scotland in January 1994. Having to read every paper, every day for editorial conferences, but finding he still missed good stories, he realised that a magazine would be the ideal way to combine the best pieces from all the papers. Connell left The Sunday Telegraph in September 1994, and, after trying unsuccessfully to raise finance for his idea in the City, launched the magazine on a subscription basis with Pounds 200,000, funded by the sale of his house. The first issue in May 1995 had 250 subscribers who were mainly family and friends. A month after the launch, Felix Dennis, the proprietor of Maxim, Stuff and Computer Shopper, wrote to Connell ... Digesting a little bit of good news - Media Times Times, The (London, England) - Friday, June 5, 1998

Two say O'Grady was hired by O'Connell; the third says the magazine was "started" by both, then goes on to tell the story entirely about O'Connell. So is "co-founder" really accurate? Gordonofcartoon (talk) 21:35, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
