Voice Clip
[edit]There HAS to be a voice clip his voice is so distinctive. Billgates2 (talk) 01:15, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Theres no link to the people named jeremy disambiguation page (i dunno how)
I removed the line calling him one of the greatest actors of his generation because frankly that violates the terms of neutrality. Most people do not even know who he is. While I understand some articles may make such comments; Everytime I read about abe lincoln in books and such they voice him as probably the greatest president ever. However, he has also been dead for over 100 years and the much studied subject of historians (experts)across the nation. Perhaps when jeremy irons dies and about 50 years past, maybe then will it be safe to truly look back and see if he had that impact in acting. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.107.194.50 (talk • contribs) 22:27, 24 December 2006.
No link to Danny, Champion of the World. Should we put in a mention about his son? Samuel Irons played Danny, and Jeremy played Danny's father. Also, wasn't Danny, Champion of the World a television programme and not a film? 92.237.9.149 (talk) 22:57, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Don't forget to add "Langrishe, Go Down" to Irons' list of theatre credits. See also, Wikipedia link to Langrishe. Maggie ----
The page lists him as palying in a band while he was at school in the 60's and doing a rendition of Stairway to Heaven on a hamonica but the song was not released by Led Zep until the early 70's. Something is amiss there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.37.64.1 (talk) 23:31, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
picture
[edit]The picture in this article is of very low quality, needs a new one. Vrinan (talk) 03:00, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- Not easy when there are so many restrictions on posting photos. Better a low-quality one than none at all! 110.168.64.159 (talk) 15:03, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Coward Recordings
[edit]Are there any Recordings available of the performance of the other there songs? You can get London Pride on youtube.com.
Its a pity BBC doesnt releases a soundtrack of the LNOTP.--88.153.183.57 (talk) 22:24, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
Superman/Batman
[edit]Irons has been cast in the Superman/Batman film as Alfred Pennyworth. I think that should be added to his filmography. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bentonia School (talk • contribs) 12:12, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
PR portrait and a request to remove lower quality portraits
[edit]Jeremy Irons' PR manager has been kind enough to release a new profile photograph - File:Jeremy Irons.jpg - which I have added to the infobox. This is a crop of a photograph widely used for publicity purposes. The release is supported by ticket:2014052210020044. The PR manager has offered to supply other photographs, this is under discussion, and would prefer that lower quality portraits are avoided. --Fæ (talk) 06:29, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Fæ: Please could you ask about a voice recording (by Irons, and/ or any of their other notable clients)? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:48, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

OBE?
[edit]I've locked this article for 24 hours as editors seem to be adamant he's entitled to use the letters "OBE", though sources only say he turned it down, which means it is factually incorrect. If we can quickly agree on a consensus, I will then unprotect, and anyone caught reverting against this consensus will be blocked. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:27, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for locking. I can find only sources that say he would refuse an honour if offered. I can find no source that he's ever been offered one, let alone any that he has accepted. The series of IPs, which have repeatedly added this, have offered no explanation by means of edit summary or discussion here. Martinevans123 (talk) 12:32, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
SCOTTISH ANCESTRY?
[edit]Irons' Scottish connections are so remote that there is no justification for his inclusion in the category of 'English people of Scottish descent'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Donut186 (talk • contribs) 02:56, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
Speaks French?
[edit]Irons’ alleged fluency in French may be a myth.
In one video (French tv panel about France v England soccer) Irons struggles to get out a few basic words in a schoolboy anglo accent.
He narrates, in English, a doco on Napoleon and art in which he mispronounces almost every French name.
The French link in the article is blocked for copyright reasons.
Myth not busted - yet? Errantios (talk) 10:41, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, it seems that the YouTube video has now gone. So I have removed it and added a {cn} tag. What about this one? Obviously WP:PRIMARY and not exactly Victor Hugo, but he's not atrocious? There may be better examples? As an actor you'd expect his accent to be quite good. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 11:04, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
