The Wrens of South Africa

[edit]

Hi

My name is Beverley Wren. I am one of 58 Wrens residing in South Africa.

My younger brother Malcolm Wren lives in OxfordShire, England. A few years ago he researched the archives and the family history and wrote a book on the families in South Africa. Amongst these families are many Chistophers and Jennys.

I am particularly interested in Paul McCartneys 2005 song Jenny Wren which I heard for the first time this week and am desperate to obtain a copy of.

I met a Wren family in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, in April 2006. The father, Herbert, was born in England and came to South Africa with his parents as a young man. He is a widower of 67 and has two young children from his second marriage, Christopher (15) and Jenny (12). These childrens' mother died 4 years ago and their dad has been mother and father to them since.

The reason for wanting to purchase a cd or music video 'Jenny Wren' by Paul McCartney is that Jenny (who was christened Jenny and not Jennifer) will be turning 13 on the 9th of July and I think that such a gift to her would be wonderful. As young as she is she enjoys Paul McCartney's music and wants to be an actor like him one day.

Please forgive me for using this site to write to you but having tried all kinds of means to contact the fan club or find out where I can purchase the cd "Chaos and creation in the backyard" I am hoping that this letter will reach someone who can assist me.

Thank You

Bev Wren

Fair use rationale for Image:Jenny Wren cover.jpg

[edit]

Image:Jenny Wren cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:21, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
