Jennifer Welter Wikipedia Project
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians! We have just completed our project on Jennifer Welter’s Wikipedia page. The focus of our assignment was to contribute to closing the content gap on Wikipedia. As the first woman to coach in the NFL–a historical achievement–, Jennifer Welter’s original Wikipedia page was bare of updated information. Compared to other coaches (and newer female coaches), her page briefly skimmed the surface of her coaching and post-coaching career, the intro lacked emphasis on her headline of being the first female coach of the NFL, and did not list the football camp/program named after her. She also has a list of other accomplishments that were not mentioned. We hope that our editing can help to further develop Wikipedia into an even richer and more diverse source of information that all people can access.
