[edit]The article that previously was about the criminal named Jennifer Pan has moved to Talk:Killing of Bich Pan. See WP:CRIMINAL for guideline. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 10:04, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Cameron. I have visited this article over the years and it now redirects to a professor who was recently added this year. The original Jennifer Pan (criminal case) should qualify as WP:WELLKNOWN since her name is connected to an internationally known case that preceded the addition of the professor. Googling the term 'Jennifer Pan' yields hundreds, if not thousands, of articles from reputable media sources citing the case. Brettglendon (talk) 05:56, 1 June 2024 (UTC)

[edit]The subject of the article contacted me regarding the ongoing discussion on AfD. The subject did not know they had an Wikipedia biography but was contacted by User:Tom notifying them that their article was being discussed. The subject is a professional acquaintance and contacted me because she gave an invited talk at my department earlier this month and knew that I both study and edit Wikipedia.
In any case, Dr. Pan told me that she didn't mind having an article and, in response to a request from me, shared these news articles which describe and/or cite the authors work. I haven't looked at the links yet but I imagine that they will contribute toward establishing notability and improving the article in other ways:
