The user named V09876 has already declared a conflict of interest for this particular article. Through piecemeal editing over some period of time, V09876 has become more or less the sole author of this article, by gradually replacing the majority of the content.
I don't think user V09876 has necessarily removed anything particularly unfavourable to the subject of this BLP, and I think it's safe to presume that the material V09876 has added is presented in a general spirit of good will.
However, it bothers me that a user with declared COI, and who is therefore required to be circumspect in how they edit, has nevertheless seen fit to essentially rewrite every paragraph of the article to suit their own preferences. I don't suspect some vast conspiracy, but I do suspect that the COI user, apparently someone close to the subject of the biography, is probably doing their best to inflate the subject's notability and make him look as impressive as possible. That is not evil, but it is also definitely not how to write a biography.
May I respectfully suggest that V09876, and anyone else with a conflict of interest (whether declared or not), permanently stop editing this article, and "let nature take its course"? Jeff Danna's reputation will be better, not worse, when people close to him stop trying to manipulate the way he is portrayed here. TooManyFingers (talk) 06:55, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I just now complained in an edit summary that Jeff Danna had been prominently listed as a performer when he had no notable performing credits. After a quick glance at the page's editing history, I see that there ARE legitimate performing credits, but they have been cut - presumably in order to focus the article exclusively on his composing career. Fair enough; I guess my edit just made that re-focusing a bit more official-looking, and my complaint was misdirected and unnecessary. Sorry for sounding harsh.
