Still living?

Information on Matternes is very difficult to find, but I once stumbled across a Fairfax,VA obituary that said a Jay H. Matternes died in 2011 at the age of 78. MerscratianAce (talk) 05:44, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

His website refers to him as deceased. I put a mention of his death in the article, but I don't have any more information. I first saw mentions of his death in 2015, so I put that date in. CFLeon (talk) 00:10, 20 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(update) The website has removed the (oblique) references to his death, but still refers to his work only in the past tense- however, this is probably a grammatical error. It's hard to tell, since they give NO detailed biographical information, only mention of his education & work. CFLeon (talk) 21:46, 15 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This June 24 WaPo article refers to him as living in Fairfax, VA at 85 years old (and is written as though he is presently involved in the museum's reinstallation of his murals--"expressed his pleasure at the decisions", etc). -Ferahgo the Assassin (talk) 08:36, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
