Not a Racing de Santander player

[edit]

It may merely be a matter of hours before he is, but as of now, this article says Chevanton himself denies being a member of Racing. So until an official announcement is made by a club, there's no reason to put him on the Santander roster. Isaiah 18:26, 24 August 2007 (UTC) (forgot to sign before)[reply]

Okay, just to clarify, I read the article at El Diario Montañés and I know that it says he signed for Racing, but until an announcement is made on the official Santander website, I don't think it's a good idea to list Chevanton as a Racing player. We'll see, of course, what happens. (I can't find a date attached to the Diario article either, so the 8/24 article from Goal.com has to be considered more "official" as the other article could have been written yesterday). Not that I trust goal.com all that much. If there are other links I've missed in the general Spanish press, please post them as they come up. Isaiah 18:39, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

All-time goalscorer?

[edit]

The article states:

In the Serie A 2003-04 he was the fourth goalscorer of the tournament with 19 goals and became the all-time goalscorer for Lecce, overcoming former Argentinian national team and Lecce player Pedro Pablo Pasculli.

According to US Lecce, Chevantón is in fact not at all the all-time goalscorer and neither is Pasculli. It might be that I just don't understand the English language, but could someone shed some light on this? Skorpan (talk) 11:26, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
