Correcting information about Javad Marandi's family

Hello, my name is Bennett Golder and I work at PR firm Weber Shandwick on behalf of Javad Marandi.

In adherence to Wikipedia's and my company's own best practice guidelines, I'm seeking to correct some misinformation about Javad Marandi on this page. It says here that: "His wife Narmina is reportedly the daughter of Mammad Alizadeh, who was the long-standing leader of one of Azerbaijan's main political parties, and a supporter of President Ilham Aliyev,[7]"

The article that this comment cites has since printed a retraction, which can be found here: http://www.smh.com.au/business/unaoil-scandal-and-the-panama-papers-20160409-go2jr7.html (see at the bottom: "Correction: A previous version of this story has been amended to remove an incorrect reference to Narmina Marandi's father.")

As I'm not able to make this edit directly due to my conflict of interest, is someone able to make this correction on my behalf?

I actually just wanted to make you aware of another change in one of the third-party sources used in this article. The Guardian/Observer article cited has posted a legal notice at the top of the article due to an ongoing complaint by Javad Marandi. Additional edit requests following updates to third party sources in the Guardian/Observer and Director Magazine

Just to keep you posted, after legal action the Guardian Media Group has decided to take down the articles in the Guardian/Observer, which are citations 4 and 6 in this article. Additionally, we've just received word from Director Magazine that they have edited their article about business in Azerbaijan to accurately reflect Javad Marandi's business interests. Specifically, he is not an owner of Pasha Construction (the 'construction company' mentioned in the Wikipedia article), but rather he is an adviser. Additionally Chinar is actually a restaurant in Baku, and Javad Marandi does not own it. http://www.director.co.uk/9071-doing-business-in-azerbaijan/

Edit requests following updates to third party sources in the Guardian/Observer and Director Magazine

Hi, I could use some help in removing references to articles that no longer pass Wikipedia's guidelines for verifiable third-party sources. Additionally, some content within this article no longer reflect information contained within the third-party source. These should be pretty clearly stated above, but please do let me know if anything is unclear or I can expand upon anything.

I'm conflicted from making any edits on Javad's behalf, but I'm hoping you'll agree that I'm only seeking to correct misinformation and not editorialise or embellish - which is obviously in Javad's interest but also in the interest of the Wikipedia community. Just to clarify, the requested edits are below:

1. After legal action, the Guardian Media Group has decided to remove articles in the Guardian/Observer which are citations 4 and 6 on Javad's Wikipedia entry. Owing to the fact that these articles have been removed, I do not believe they constitute verifiable third-party sources and in the interest of honest and accuracy, references to these citations should be removed from his page. 2. Additionally, Director Magazine has made corrections to their article about business in Azerbaijan to accurately reflect Javad Marandi's business interests. Specifically, he is not an owner of Pasha Construction (the 'construction company' mentioned in his Wikipedia article), but rather he is an adviser. Additionally Chinar is actually a restaurant in Baku, and Javad Marandi does not own it. We feel this sentence should be altered to more accurately reflect the content within the cited article: "Marandi owns a company in Azerbaijan called Chinar, the country's "largest distribution business" and a construction company.[3]" A more accurate statement would be: "Marandi owns the country's largest distribution business and is an adviser to a construction firm." The Director Magazine article is citation 3 on Javad's Wikipedia page and you can find it here: http://www.director.co.uk/9071-doing-business-in-azerbaijan/. If you look through the article, you’ll see what nowhere does it corroborate the information contained within Javad Marandi’s Wikipedia page.

Hi Edwardx I was just wondering if the edit you reverted is allowable as it contains personal details about the subject (home address and home value) and on the WP:BLPPRIMARY, it states to 'not use public records that include personal details, such as date of birth, home value, traffic citations, vehicle registrations, and home or business addresses.'

The figure £12.5 million is also not cited anywhere in the article, which is why I removed the whole sentence.
