External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Java Sea. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20111008191433/http://www.iho-ohi.net/iho_pubs/standard/S-23/S23_1953.pdf to http://www.iho-ohi.net/iho_pubs/standard/S-23/S23_1953.pdf
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Indian or Pacific?
[edit]Is java sea belongs to indian ocean or pacific ocean? According to a citation 1 and 2, it was once said to be located at pacific ocean.2404:8000:1027:85F6:55E6:AA3D:DCDF:B3ED (talk) 06:48, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- According to the CIA World Factbook's map of the Indian Ocean, the Java Sea is part of the Indian Ocean and not the Pacific Ocean. This differs from the International Hydrographic Organization's definition of the Indian Ocean -- a comment for the map shown on the Indian Ocean wiki page, which is the map from the World Factbook, lists this as a factual inaccuracy. The map is from 2002, but I checked the 2024 CIA World Factbook map and it still includes the Java Sea as part of the Indian Ocean. Unless this is an error that's persisted for decades, I think this is grounds for at least noting that the classification of the Java Sea is in dispute. Talu42 (talk) 17:08, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
