murder

[edit]

I've moved the section 'Murder of the Australians' to '1943-44', as most of the events described occurred in 1943. It appears to be the only mention of this important incident in Wikipedia, but it is a verbatim reprint of part of an article by Yuki Tanaka @www.japanfocus.org, and is, in my opinion, slightly overlong relative to the overall topic. I'm hoping to find some other sources and edit the section down a bit.Tomseattle (talk) 07:06, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes its an entire steal from Yuki Tanaka's article here [1], put in by an anon IP, obviously well meant, but a copy vio all the same. So I have deleted it. Nickm57 (talk) 10:41, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The National Lib of Australia digitzed newspaper site contains some mentions of this event, for example see [2].

Fair enough. I'll try to find some other sources and rework. Tomseattle (talk) 12:44, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

infobox

[edit]

Why does the word 'File' and the pixel size appear over/under the image in the infobox? How do I get rid of it?

 Done. I've fixed it. TheOriginalSoni (talk) 23:27, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I think I got it - remove brackets from file name. Thanks!Tomseattle (talk) 16:58, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
