Article or list?
[edit]This page seems to be half-way between an article and a list. I don't know how to classify it. --JeffW 05:25, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
- The author Torun31, seems to be building at least two large articles about Japanese militarism and public education. Another article s/he just stared is Hito-Do which I've been doing extensive editing of the past half hour. Given the intensity of work s/he's been doing on Hito-Do, I expect s/he'll be coming back to this article to make it more like a real article and less like a list. I only have a passing familiarity with Japanese history on this topic (Barrington Moore's The Social Origins of Dictarship and Democracy, several surveys of Japnese histoy and maybe half a dozen academic articles on Japanese politics and militarism). So, I'm basically just taking what s/he says at face value and just trying to turn it into acceptble English. Interlingua talk email 16:11, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds very original research to me. --222.3.70.144 16:24, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- Doesn't sound like it to me. I'm no expert on Japanese history, but of the concepts and people here that I am familiar with, nothing seems like it should be a cause of dispute. (RookZERO 22:56, 1 May 2007 (UTC))
WP:MILHIST Assessment
[edit]This subject could result in a very long, detailed, and meaningful article. Entire books have been, and continue to be, written on this subject, and this article could therefore surely work its way up to GA, A, or FA status. But right now, it's just a series of lists, with nearly no prose paragraphs. LordAmeth 18:16, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- I think this article is very much still a work in progess. I suspect it will be split into multiple articles or lists eventually. (RookZERO 22:56, 1 May 2007 (UTC))
Romanization
[edit]In cleaning up the romanization, it may be useful to check this page: Wikipedia:Manual of Style (Japan-related articles) Dewobroto 19:38, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Four Articles
[edit]There are at the moment four separate atricles that could be merged into one. Japanese military-political doctrines in the Showa period, Xenophobia in Japan (WWII) and Eugenics in Imperial Japan could all be sections of Militarism-Socialism in Showa Japan. --Flying tiger 13:22, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
NPOV
[edit]If no one has any objections, I am going to pull the NPOV tag off in a couple days. I see no apparent NPOV problem and there is nothing about it at all here in talk. (RookZERO 23:51, 1 May 2007 (UTC))
