I'll take this one. Parsecboy (talk) 12:04, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

General comments:

  • The lead says the ship was obsolete on completion, but this doesn't appear to be explained in the body
  • Watch ENGVAR - I see "draught" and "metre" vs. "armor" and later "meter"
  • Link aircraft carrier, Tokyo Bay, Chiyoda
  • Watch unit designations - Third Fleet vs. 1st Fleet - also, when did Oyodo move between the fleets?
  • "reversed course at 23:30 and head for Amami Ōshima" -> "and headed for..."
  • Convert 250lb

Images:

  • File:Japanese cruiser Oyodo in 1944.jpg - I would bet Nikki would want a translation of the source
  • The scrapping photo is probably actually a USN photo - compare to this and this - not a big deal, just noticed those in the NHHC collection
  • There's a line-drawing here if you want it
  • Dunno if you find this photo at Cape Engano or this one of Ozawa transferring to the ship useful.

    • Thanks for these, I completely forgot to check the images. I did have to swap out the scrapping photo as the photograph date of '48 falls outside the allowable range for the old-japan-photo license of '47. I'll flesh out the photos if I decide to take it to ACR, but for now I don't want to take the time to get these uploaded properly. Thanks for the thorough reading that caught all the small mistakes. I think that I've fixed them all. Lemme know if not.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 22:29, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
